... much hilarity as it is revealed that Tony Blair spends between £150 and £200 per annum on make-up.
Now, I don't wear make-up (unless you count nail polish on my toenails) and I never buy it. But if you are going to wear it at all, £3-4 per week doesn't sound like a big sum to me - particularly if you are constantly preparing to go in front of the cameras.
According to the Beeb:
[The Sunday Times] said his spending on cosmetics peaked between 2003 and 2004, when the prime minister was being asked to justify intelligence reports on weapons of mass destruction.
I think that's nicely put. If you're going to hate the guy, hate him for something real ... like taking us into an armed conflict with people who weren't doing us any harm. Don't hate him because he uses foundation. |
